[ there's nothing short of warm about the feeling of giving a gift to a friend, and finding it returned in kind. she hadn't wanted to expect it, of course, but she had certainly hoped. the earrings were lovely, even if they did remind her a little too much of the logo she prefers to keep at her back, but she can already tell they'll complement her attire for the winter ball perfectly.
