[ this morning happens to be one of the few mornings weiss has to herself. it being a weekend, and her shift at the cafe coming in much later, she finally takes the time to try to work on her training some. though this time, she's left her sword at home.
she's just about to get into her second set of jumping jacks when she hears a peculiar sound... footsteps? no way, they're way too fast to be
HOLY COW IS THAT A GIANT GREEN BULLET COMING TOWARDS HER?!
be prepared for that high-pitched shriek of hers, lee! ]
[He does manage to hear that shriek before he sees the pale deer in the headlights standing in front of him. He grunts loudly as he tries to skid himself to a halt.]
WEEEEEIIIIIIIIIII-!!!!
[He's going fast though, so it's difficult to skid to a perfect halt. Will he stop just in time, or is collision inevitable?]
[ weiss has about a second and a half to consider her options:
1) use her dust and create a barrier of ice between them or 2) let him crash into her
because jumping out of the way at this point in time is just way too late.
in the end, she opts for the latter, simply because she wasn't about to go around wasting her dust on some idiot who doesn't know how to use his breaks. so CRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAASH, down they go in a tumble of limbs and indignant shrieks. ]
[ it probably doesn't help that while he's trying to do that, she's flailing about on the ground, attempting to shove him off but probably only tangling their limbs further. ]
[Welp! It's almost like quicksand, his struggles only pull him in deeper! And he flusters while Weiss is frustrated, his face now ending up near hers.]

don't worry, though, there's one quick way to remedy this! a perfectly timed attempt to shove him off and — right there! the heel of her hand shoved right up against his nose.

I will- Oof! [Weiss has a mean hit, but Lee's taken a lot worse over his years of being like a human battering ram. Still, that does knock his face back, and with that force, he tries to finally roll himself off her! ...Except that one of his legs is hooked around one of hers, so she may accidentally end up being pulled with him.]

I... I am sorry! [He winces as he apologizes, increasingly shy about being so close to the pretty girl. Lee squirms a little as he tries to think of another way out of this situation.
And then, Weiss decides to shoujo him her moves. Rock Lee blinks for a moment - he's startled by the abrupt movement but otherwise doesn't seem to be harmed. In fact, he actually laughs slightly.]
Ah... If you wanted to spar, that could be saved for another time, Weiss-san! [He says that in the closest thing to a joking tone that he has...]
I believe that... this is one of those times when I would be advised to try 'calm thinking'!
but no, let's back up here a moment, because weiss is still looking down at him like he's suddenly somehow gotten an even more ridiculous hair cut. (sorry, not sorry.)
truthfully, she shouldn't have reacted as she had — she was frustrated, but not to the point of ever wanting to actually hurt him! — but any thoughts of apologizing are easily thrown out the window in place of her shock. ]
Lee blinks for a moment before he refocuses his attention on Weiss's concerns.]

I am sorry, Weiss-san! I know that you must have tried your best, and I admire your strength, but I believe that we may be at different levels of strength! [He is apologizing for not being hurt by her...] I have worked hard...
[ there's a brief, brief moment where weiss actually does feel a little disappointed... but only because he's treating it like something to be ashamed of!!
a moment later, her expression is flattening. ]

without another word, she finally disentangles herself off him (it helps that he isn't moving around at the same time). once she's rolled off, she's reaching down for his legs, and quickly tugs down one of those hideous orange leg warmers.
she glares at the weights she finds there. no wonder their legs kept getting tangled — those things must weigh tons! ]

[And he does manage to remain still enough, even if it's from regret for what he said, that she's able to disentangle himself. He blushes slightly as one of his gorgeous leg warmers is pulled down.]
That's right! [He nods as he gets himself to sit up.] That was part of my training. I did not mean that you did not work hard! Rather... We must have worked hard in different ways! [She got da smarts.]
[That's probably the best victory he could hope for. He takes a moment to pat at the weight and sheepishly pull up his leg warmer.]

Chakra is the system of energy within our bodies! Or, at least in the world I come from! Most ninjas mold this energy to perform a number of fantastic abilities.
[He looks down for a moment.]
I have never been able to do more than the absolute basics of chakra... which would be walking on water and on walls...
[ weiss quiets a moment, struck by this simple admission. she hasn't known lee for very long, nor does she know much about the world of the ninja, but she hadn't thought he'd be low enough on the totem pole to deserve the tone he's using on himself.

I have accomplished a lot for someone who cannot use so many ninja arts... and my sensei has always been proud of me! So I am glad with what I have accomplished.
[He knew that she was a nice person. But he doesn't know that much about her, does he? After a beat, he asks with a bit of nervous hesitance.]
